Performance and Motorsport Engine Oil: 5W40, 0W40, 10W60

On tuning forums, the oil debate almost never ends: "At Stage 2, do you switch to 10W60 or stay on 5W40?". The consensus among people who have blown engines: beyond Stage 2, when the engine runs at high temperature for long sessions, 10W60 maintains a protective film that 5W40 can no longer guarantee.

Hubshop.fr offers Motul 300V, the French Dynaparts oil, and Mecacyl additives for treating mechanical components. Stage 1: 5W40. Stage 2+: 10W60 recommended.
