RacingLine High Performance Ignition Coils VWR900000/1/2 - VAG TSI/TFSI

An ignition coil converts the battery's 12 V into high voltage to power the spark plug. On VAG group TSI and TFSI engines, the original coils eventually weaken, causing misfires, hesitation and power loss, especially on a remapped engine. RacingLine high-performance coils deliver 10% more energy for a stronger, more consistent spark.

Why +10%, neither more nor less

This 10% gain is the optimal point for TSI engines: beyond that, there is no additional benefit, only higher temperatures and accelerated wear. RacingLine therefore maintains a strong, constant spark from idle to the redline, with thermal management optimized for longevity. A stock engine as well as one tuned up to Stage 3 benefits immediately.

Frequently asked questions

How many coils do I need to order?

They are sold individually: order the quantity that matches your engine (4 for a 4-cylinder, 5 for a 2.5 TFSI 5-cylinder, 6 or 8 for V6 and V8 engines).

Which color should I choose?

Three finishes are available: VWR900000 Blue (R style), VWR900001 Red (GTI style), VWR900002 Nardo Grey. The choice is purely aesthetic, performance is identical.

Are they useful on a stock engine?

Yes: they are an excellent preventive maintenance measure against misfires on aging coils, and they secure ignition from the very first tuning modification.
