Simply the best available for your MQB chassis. The RacingLine TrackSport VWR340000-G7 coilovers are directly derived from the brand's full race kits: same architecture, only the internal valving settings and the spring rates and lengths differ. A kit designed for intensive track use that remains usable on the street.
A 100% motorsport foundation
The monotube construction with deflector discs ensures optimal wheel control. At the front, a 45 mm thick-rod inverted shock absorber greatly stiffens the McPherson strut to eliminate any flex under heavy load, a unique solution on the market. At the rear, the shock absorbers become true coilovers, offering full travel rather than simple lowering springs.
Technical specifications
- 12-way compression and rebound adjustment, no tools or jack required
- Adjustable upper strut mounts with pre-installed ball joint for camber adjustment
- Linear springs with 60 mm inner diameter, with helper springs at the front
- Shortened, lightweight aluminum bodies, made in the United Kingdom
Frequently asked questions
Is it too stiff for street use?
This is a deliberately firm setup with shorter travel than the StreetSport kits. Ride comfort is stiff but perfectly controlled on the street; on track, it is unmatched. For mostly street use, the StreetSport range is better suited.
Does the vehicle need modification for installation?
To use the full adjustment range of the front adjustable upper strut mounts, the strut tower domes must be cut. After lowering, adding RacingLine adjustable sway bar end links is recommended to restore the geometry.
Which vehicles are covered?
The VWR340000-G7 covers the MQB and MQB Evo platforms. See the list of confirmed applications below: the A5 version (Golf 5/6, A3 8P...) corresponds to part number VWR340000-G6.
Confirmed applications
MQB and MQB Evo platforms: VW Golf 7/7.5 (2013-2020) and 8/8.5 (2020+), Passat B8 (2015+), Arteon (2017+), T-Roc (2017+), Jetta/GLI 7 (2018+); Audi A3 8Y/8Y.2 (2020+), S3 8V (2013-2020) and 8Y/8Y.2 (2020+), RS3 2.5 TFSI 8V / 8V.2 / 8Y, TT 8S (2014+), TTRS 8S (2017+), SQ2 (2018+), Q2 (2017+), Q3 (2019+); SEAT Leon III 5F and Cupra 5F (2014-2020), Cupra Leon 4/4.5 (2020+), Cupra Formentor (2020+), Cupra Ateca (2018+).
What is the difference with the StreetSport range?
The StreetSport prioritizes comfort and everyday street use with longer travel. The TrackSport, firmer and derived from motorsport kits, is built for track performance while remaining usable on the street.
Can ride height and stance be adjusted?
Yes, these are coilovers: ride height is adjustable, and the adjustable upper strut mounts allow fine camber tuning for precise geometry after lowering.
