Darkside Front-Mount Intercooler for VAG 1.9 TDi PD130 ASZ

Darkside Developments front-mount intercooler kit (FMIC) for VAG 1.9 TDi PD130 ASZ, fits the Golf Mk4 and Bora equipped with the 1.9 TDi ASZ PD130 engine.

The kit replaces the original plastic pipes and unnecessary gaskets that can cause pressure leaks. The intercooler end tanks are aluminum, allowing them to withstand higher pressure. The thicker core provides significantly improved cooling capacity.

Compatibility and warnings

• Fits original turbo only. For a large-diameter turbo, contact us before ordering.
• Affected vehicles with 1.9 8v TDi engine: VW Golf Mk4 - ASZ 130, VW Bora / Jetta - ASZ 130.
• This kit does not fit the Beetle.
• This pipe kit does not fit vehicles with xenon headlights and headlight washer system.

EGR valve delete and installation

An EGR valve delete to use with this kit is offered separately. The price is higher in that case, because the custom aluminum pipe is then included, whereas keeping the EGR valve keeps the original pipe. A complete installation guide is available for this kit.

The included silicone hoses may require slight trimming: they are left long to account for tolerances between cars. Black silicone hoses are in stock; other colors are special order and may take up to 1 week to ship.

The turbo clamp may sometimes be tight to push on, due to machining tolerances. Heating the turbo compressor housing with a heat gun helps the clamp slide on.
