STXA ST Suspensions coilovers, ref. 18220008, for BMW 5 Series (E39), (5/D) sedan. Derived from motorsport, the STXA range allows height and damping adjustment.

• Maximum permitted front axle load: 1021-1090 kg
• Maximum permitted rear axle load: -1200 kg
• Front lowering: 35-65 mm
• Rear lowering: 30-60 mm
• Height adjustment at front and rear (where the vehicle allows it) via a disc on the threaded body of the shock absorber
• Precise damping adjustment via progressive knob at the top of the shock absorber rod, for a personalized setup
• Galvanized steel struts, with galvanizing and anti-corrosion coating

Installation and delivery

Coilovers are supplied in sufficient quantity to equip the vehicle and install in place of the original suspension, without modification. If the vehicle only has springs at the rear as original equipment, this kit will be the same.

Only STXTA coilovers are sold with strut mounts. For any other model, original strut mounts are required for installation. The kits are supplied bare (shock absorber cartridges and springs where applicable), unless an accessory essential for lowering is required.

Technical notes to consider before ordering

• Except for models equipped with a ride height corrector (or ride height corrector adjustment required).
• For models equipped with the EDC system (electronic damping control), the following parts must be replaced.
• Front: bearing REF. BMW 31 331 091 709 + strut mount REF. BMW 31 331 116 983 + dust boot REF. BMW 31 331 110 196.
• Rear: upper bearing REF. BMW 33 521 091 710 + bracket REF. BMW 33 521 090 282 + spring seat REF. BMW 33 521 092 986 + dust boot REF. BMW 31 331 137 932 + rubber washer REF. BMW 33 531 091 031.
