STXA Coilovers ST Suspensions VOLKSWAGEN New Beetle I

STXA ST Suspensions coilovers, part no. 18210005#4, for VOLKSWAGEN New Beetle I (9C) sedan. Derived from motorsport, the STXA range allows height and damping adjustment for fine-tuning a personalized setup.

• Maximum permitted front axle load: -1030 kg
• Maximum permitted rear axle load: -850 kg
• Front lowering: 35-60 mm
• Rear lowering: 30-60 mm
• Height adjustment at front and rear (on vehicles that allow it) via a disc located on the shock absorber threaded body
• Very precise damping adjustment via a progressive knob at the top of the shock absorber shaft
• Galvanizing and anti-corrosion coating for extended service life
• Struts in galvanized steel

Installation and delivery

The coilovers are supplied in sufficient quantity to equip the vehicle and fit in place of the original suspension, without modification. If the vehicle only has springs at the rear as standard, this kit will be the same.

Only STXTA coilovers are sold with strut mounts: for any other model, original strut mounts are required for installation. Kits are supplied bare (shock absorber cartridges and springs where applicable), unless an accessory essential for lowering is required.

Technical notes before ordering:

• Installation may require wheel spacers.
• For 50 mm diameter models, it is strongly recommended to replace the original sway bar to avoid contact with the right-hand axle shaft: use sway bar 66550008 (ordered separately). (91)
• In case of extreme lowering, it is strongly recommended to replace the sway bar to avoid contact with the right-hand axle shaft: version without Xenon headlight, bar REF. 685 50 000; version with Xenon headlight, bar REF. 685 50 005.
