STX Threaded Coilovers ST Suspensions BMW 5 Series

The STX ST Suspensions coilovers ref. 13220038 are designed for the BMW 5 Series (E39), (5/D) Touring, without air suspension on the rear axle, from 01/97. Derived from motorsport, the STX range offers very precise height adjustment with a fixed damping setting factory-set.

• Lowering: 35 to 65 mm front, 30 to 60 mm rear
• Maximum permitted front axle load: from 1021 to 1090 kg
• Maximum permitted rear axle load: up to 1410 kg
• Ride height: front and rear adjustment (on vehicles that allow it) via a disc placed on the threaded body of the shock absorber
• Protection: galvanization and anti-corrosion coating, galvanized steel strut assemblies

Fitting and shipping

The coilovers are supplied in sufficient quantity to equip the vehicle and fit in place of the original suspension, without modification. If your vehicle only has springs at the rear as standard, this kit will be the same. Kits are supplied bare (shock cartridges and springs where applicable), unless an accessory essential for lowering is required. Only STXTA coilovers are sold with strut mounts: for other models, provide original strut mounts for fitting.

To check before ordering: this kit is not suitable for models equipped with ride level control, unless the ride level control is adjusted. On models equipped with the EDC system (electronic damping control), the following parts must be replaced.
