Coilovers STX ST Suspensions (ref. 13280043) for Volkswagen New Beetle I Cabriolet (1Y). Derived from motorsport, the STX range allows precise ride height adjustment, with a fixed damping setting pre-set at the factory.

Installation and delivery

The coilovers are supplied in sufficient quantity to equip the vehicle and replace the original suspension without modification. If the vehicle only has rear springs as standard, the same applies to this kit.

Only STXTA models are sold with strut mounts: for this STX model, original strut mounts must be used for installation. Kits are supplied bare (shock cartridges and springs where applicable), unless an accessory essential for lowering is required.

Technical note to review before ordering

• Installation may require wheel spacers.
• For 50 mm diameter models, it is strongly recommended to replace the original sway bar to avoid any contact with the right-hand axle shaft: use sway bar 66550008 (to be ordered separately). (91)
• In case of extreme lowering, it is strongly recommended to replace the sway bar to avoid any contact with the right-hand axle shaft. Version without Xenon headlights: sway bar REF. 685 50 000. Version with Xenon headlights: sway bar REF. 685 50 005.
