The 8 mm (5/16") diameter is one of the most common standards for modern fuel injection systems. Gates Barricade GreenShield™ offers here an OE-quality version in a 76 cm length: 5-layer HNBR construction, 15.5 bar working pressure, extended compatibility with alternative fuels E85, B100 and methanol.

The reference standard for 8 mm injection systems

A poor-quality fuel hose rarely stands out to the eye: it is over time that it reveals its weaknesses, such as internal swelling under pressure, softening when hot, and persistent odors in the cabin. These symptoms reflect excessive permeability and chemical degradation of the inner wall in contact with modern fuels.

The Gates Barricade 27340 in Ø 8 mm was designed to eliminate these defects at the source. Its HNBR wall resists oxygenated fuels chemically, its GreenShield™ barrier blocks vapors at 1 g/m²/day, and its CPE cover withstands ozone, oil and abrasion. This 76 cm length is suitable for direct replacement on most vehicles fitted with this diameter.
