Choosing the right hardware
The length under head, the shape of the bolts and the thread must be precisely defined. The shape of the seat, meaning the seat of the bolt or stud, is very important. There are two main types: conical seat (cone-shaped) and ball seat (half-ball shaped). Most aftermarket wheels, meaning non-original wheels, must be installed with conical seat bolts or nuts.
The length under head depends on the thickness of the wheel spacer fitted. For example, with an original length under head of 37 mm and a 20 mm thick wheel spacer, you can choose a length under head of 57 mm. Customer service can advise you.
