Choosing your wheel hardware
The seat shape of the bolt or stud is critical. There are two main categories: conical (cone-shaped) and ball seat (hemispherical). Most aftermarket wheels, meaning non-original wheels, must be installed with conical seat bolts or nuts.
The length under head depends on the thickness of the wheel spacer fitted. For example, with an original length under head of 37 mm and a 20 mm spacer, you can choose a length under head of 57 mm.
