Choosing the right bolt
The seat shape, meaning the bolt's seating surface, is critical. There are two main types: conical (cone-shaped) and spherical (half-ball). Most aftermarket wheels, which are not original equipment, must be installed with conical seat bolts or nuts.
The length under head depends on the thickness of the wheel spacer fitted. For example, with an original length under head of 37 mm and a 20 mm spacer, a length under head of 57 mm is suitable.
