Choosing the Right Lug Bolts
The shape of the seat, or bolt seating surface, is critical. There are two main categories: conical (cone-shaped) and spherical (half-ball). Most aftermarket wheels, i.e., non-OEM wheels, must be installed with conical seat bolts or nuts.
The length under head depends on the thickness of the wheel spacer fitted. For example, with an original length under head of 37 mm and a 20 mm thick spacer, a length under head of 57 mm is required.
