Choosing your lug bolts
The seat shape of the bolt is critical. There are two main categories: conical (cone-shaped) and ball seat (half-ball). Most aftermarket wheels, meaning those that are not original equipment, must be fitted with conical seat bolts or nuts.
Length under head depends on the thickness of the wheel spacer fitted. For example, with an original length under head of 37 mm and a 20 mm wheel spacer, a length under head of 57 mm is required.
