BMC Air Filter: Ref. 285/01

The stock paper filter is convenient as original equipment, but once you've tried a washable cotton filter, it's hard to go back. The BMC ref. 285/01, made of multi-ply oiled cotton gauze, lets more air through than paper while trapping particles effectively. Result: better throttle response, an engine that breathes better, and no more disposable filters to buy.

Key points

  • Washable and reusable: unlimited service life with regular maintenance
  • Higher airflow than the stock paper filter
  • Direct fit: no modification, plug-and-play replacement
  • Efficient filtration: multi-ply oiled cotton gauze
  • Warranty: 2 years

Filter maintenance

Cleaning is recommended every 15,000 to 20,000 km using the BMC maintenance kit (cleaner + re-oiling oil, sold separately). After washing, let it air dry, then re-oil before reinstalling.
