BMC Air Filter: Ref. 766/01
The original paper filter is convenient as first fit, but once you have tried a washable cotton filter, it is hard to go back. The BMC ref. 766/01, made from multi-ply oiled cotton gauze, lets through more air than paper while trapping particles effectively. Result: better throttle response, an engine that breathes better, and no need to buy a disposable filter again.
Key points
- Washable and reusable: unlimited lifespan with regular maintenance
- Higher airflow than the original paper filter
- Direct fit: no modification, plug-and-play replacement
- Effective filtration: multi-ply oiled cotton gauze
- Warranty: 2 years
Filter maintenance
Cleaning recommended every 15,000 to 20,000 km with the BMC maintenance kit (cleaner + re-oiling fluid, sold separately). After washing, let air dry, then re-oil before refitting.
