The BMC part 220/06, made from multi-ply oiled cotton gauze, lets through more air than paper while trapping particles effectively. Filter maintenance
Cleaning recommended every 15,000 to 20,000 km with the BMC maintenance kit (cleaner + re-oiling oil, sold separately). After washing, let air dry, then re-oil before refitting.
