BMC Air Filter - Ref. 1008/20
The original paper filter is convenient as original equipment, but once you have tried a washable cotton filter, it is hard to go back. The BMC ref. 1008/20, made of multi-ply oiled cotton gauze, allows more air through than paper while trapping particles effectively. The result: better throttle response, an engine that breathes better, and no more disposable filters to buy.
Key points
- Washable and reusable - unlimited service life with regular maintenance
- Higher airflow than the original paper filter
- Direct fit - no modification, plug-and-play replacement
- Efficient filtration - multi-ply oiled cotton gauze
- Warranty: 2 years
Filter maintenance
Cleaning recommended every 15,000 to 20,000 km with the BMC maintenance kit (cleaner + re-oiling oil, sold separately). After washing, let air dry, then re-oil before refitting.
