BMC Air Filter, Ref. 870/20
The original paper filter is fine as a first fit, but once you've tried a washable cotton filter, it's hard to go back. The BMC ref. 870/20, made from multi-ply oiled cotton gauze, lets more air through than paper while trapping particles effectively. The result: sharper throttle response, an engine that breathes better, and no more buying disposable filters.

Filter maintenance
Cleaning recommended every 15,000 to 20,000 km with the BMC maintenance kit (cleaner + re-oiling oil, sold separately). After washing, let air dry, then re-oil before reinstalling.
