The original paper filter is convenient on factory fitment, but once you've tried a washable cotton filter, it's hard to go back. The BMC ref. 1111, made from multi-ply oiled cotton gauze, lets through more air than paper while trapping particles effectively. Result: sharper throttle response, an engine that breathes better, and no more buying disposable filters.
