The BMC ref. 464/04, made of multi-ply oiled cotton gauze, lets more air through than paper while trapping particles effectively. Filter Maintenance
Cleaning recommended every 15,000 to 20,000 km with the BMC maintenance kit (cleaner + re-oiling oil, sold separately). After washing, let air dry, then re-oil before refitting.
