BMC Air Filter: Part No. 487/20
The original paper filter does the job as factory equipment, but once you've tried a washable cotton filter, it's hard to go back. The BMC part no. 487/20, made from multi-ply oiled cotton gauze, lets through more air than paper while still trapping particles effectively. Result: better throttle response, an engine that breathes better, and no more buying disposable filters.

Filter maintenance
Cleaning recommended every 15,000 to 20,000 km with the BMC care kit (cleaner and re-oiling oil, sold separately). After washing, let it air dry, then re-oil before reinstalling.
