BMC Air Filter: Part no. 447/01
The original paper filter is convenient as first fitment, but once you've tried a washable cotton filter, it's hard to go back. The BMC part no. 447/01, made of multi-ply oiled cotton gauze, allows more airflow than paper while trapping particles effectively. Result: better throttle response, an engine that breathes better, and no need to buy disposable filters again.

Filter maintenance
Cleaning recommended every 15,000 to 20,000 km with the BMC maintenance kit (cleaner + re-oiling oil, sold separately). After washing, let air dry, then re-oil before refitting.
