BMC Air Filter - Ref. 981/20
The original paper filter is convenient as OE equipment, but once you have tried a washable cotton filter, it is hard to go back. The BMC ref. 981/20, made of multi-layer oiled cotton gauze, lets through more air than paper while still trapping particles effectively. The result: sharper throttle response, an engine that breathes better, and no more buying disposable filters.
Key features
- Washable and reusable - unlimited lifespan with regular maintenance
- Higher airflow than the original paper filter
- Direct fit - no modification, plug-and-play replacement
- Efficient filtration - multi-layer oiled cotton gauze
- Warranty: 2 years
Filter maintenance
Cleaning recommended every 15,000 to 20,000 km using the BMC maintenance kit (cleaner + re-oiling oil, sold separately). After washing, let air dry, then re-oil before reinstalling.
