BMC Air Filter: Part No. 838/01

The original paper filter is convenient as factory fitment, but once you've tried a washable cotton filter, it's hard to go back. The BMC part no. 838/01, made from multi-ply oiled cotton gauze, lets through more air than paper while trapping particles effectively. The result: better throttle response, an engine that breathes better, and no need to ever buy a disposable filter again.

Filter maintenance

Cleaning recommended every 15,000 to 20,000 km using the BMC maintenance kit (cleaner and re-oiling oil, sold separately). After washing, let it air dry, then re-oil before reinstalling.
