BMC Air Filter: Part no. 258/01
The original paper filter is convenient as standard equipment, but once you've tried a washable cotton filter, it's hard to go back. The BMC part no. 258/01, made from multi-ply oiled cotton gauze, lets through more air than paper while trapping particles effectively. Result: better throttle response, an engine that breathes better, and no more disposable filters to buy.

Filter maintenance
Cleaning recommended every 15,000 to 20,000 km with the BMC maintenance kit (cleaner and re-oiling oil, sold separately). After washing, let the filter air dry, then re-oil it before reinstalling.
