Bilstein

With 150 years of history and a revolution to its name, Bilstein is much more than a shock absorber manufacturer: it is an institution of German automotive engineering. In 1954, its engineers invented and industrialized the gas-pressurized monotube shock absorber, creating the standard now fitted to the most demanding vehicles.

As early as 1957, the first production Mercedes-Benz cars left the factory fitted with Bilstein shock absorbers. Today the brand is an OE supplier to Audi, BMW, Porsche, Lamborghini and Bugatti. Its motorsport record is just as remarkable: Monte-Carlo Rally, Nürburgring 24 Hours, wins in Formula 1 and WRC.

The aftermarket range is structured around several lines: B6 (sporty daily use), B8 (lowered vehicles), B12 (complete spring/shock kits), B16 (adjustable compression and rebound). Every product is validated at Bilstein's Papenburg test track and on the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
