The BMC ref. 206-6002, made of multi-ply oiled cotton gauze, allows more airflow than paper while trapping particles effectively. Filter Maintenance
Cleaning recommended every 15,000 to 20,000 km with the BMC maintenance kit (cleaner + re-oiling oil, sold separately). After washing, let air dry, then re-oil before reinstalling.
