The BMC part no. 206-5403 is made of multi-ply oiled cotton gauze, allowing more airflow than paper while effectively trapping particles. Filter maintenance
Cleaning recommended every 15,000 to 20,000 km with the BMC maintenance kit (cleaner + re-oiling oil, sold separately). After washing, let air dry, then re-oil before reinstalling.
