The BMC ref. 206-6003, made from multi-layer oiled cotton gauze, flows more air than paper while still trapping particles effectively. Filter Maintenance
Cleaning recommended every 15,000 to 20,000 km with the BMC maintenance kit (cleaner + re-oiling oil, sold separately). After washing, let air dry, then re-oil before reinstalling.
