On TFSI direct-injection engines, fuel is no longer sprayed onto the intake valves (unlike MPI port-injection engines), so they are no longer cleaned. They are exposed to carbon deposits from oily vapors in the crankcase ventilation system. The APR oil separator intercepts these vapors before they reach the intake.

Technical specifications:

  • Improves performance: eliminates a common boost leak and reduces oil vapors, which lower octane rating, as well as carbon buildup that restricts airflow.
  • Recovers oil and residue: they collect in the reservoir rather than in the intercooler hoses.
  • Easy draining: a simple knob lets you empty the reservoir in seconds, no tools required.
  • Easy installation: installs in minutes, the hoses slip on without tools thanks to the original Norma fittings.
  • Easy maintenance: annual service is simplified by the two-piece billet design.
  • High-quality hoses: resistant to oil degradation, kinking, abrasion and gel-related clogging, with a factory-style appearance.
  • High-quality reservoir, bracket and mount: billet aluminum and stainless steel parts, sturdy and cleanly finished, that blend neatly into the engine bay.
