On direct injection engines (EA113, EA888), the high-pressure pump is the physical limit to power gains beyond a certain threshold. The APR HPFP increases displaced volume by 41% thanks to a larger-diameter piston and bore, with a DLC coating and heat-treated stainless steel for durability.
