Want to sharpen the handling of your Audi A3, S3 or RS3 8V Sportback? The RacingLine VWR8130S3 carbon trunk brace stiffens the rear of the body, its weakest point. The MQB platform offers a very rigid laser-welded body at the front, but the rear still flexes, which degrades handling under sustained use, especially with firm suspension. That is also why the Golf Clubsport S receives a factory brace.

Does installation require drilling or cutting?

No. Installation is reversible and drill-free: the fixings use the original mounting points (rear seat anchors and trunk tie-downs).

Is trunk or rear seat use lost?

Impact on trunk volume is minimal, the rear seats remain functional, and no noise or vibration is added.

Is it compatible with the sedan?

This part number is designed for 3- and 5-door Sportback models only. The sedan version is a separate part number, VWR8130S3-SEDAN.
