BMC Air Filter: Part No. 854/01
The original paper filter is convenient as original equipment, but once you've tried a washable cotton filter, it's hard to go back. The BMC part no. 854/01, made of multi-ply oiled cotton gauze, lets more air through than paper while trapping particles effectively. Result: better throttle response, an engine that breathes better, and no more buying disposable filters.

Filter maintenance
Cleaning recommended every 15,000 to 20,000 km with the BMC maintenance kit (cleaner plus re-oiling oil, sold separately). After washing, let it air dry, then re-oil before reinstalling.
